- We have all owners set up their properties as Revert to Owner. To clarify, this means when a resident has moved out they will no longer be paying the bills and the owner automatically will. Not having a Revert to Owner in place can cause issues with completing the make-ready. Also, it’s especially important in the winter months to have the utilities on because cold winters can result in pipes bursting. Remember, per the Management Agreement, we do not put utilities in Voepel’s name.
- To ease the transition, Voepel Property Management will pay the utility bills on the owner’s behalf. Just list our address to have the bills sent to us (406 W 75th St Suite A, Kansas City, MO 64114).
- Before a resident moves into a property, our leasing team requires proof that they have switched the utilities to their name.
